need help choosing wood floor for white kitchen

I am in the middle of an extension (kitchen dinner) and have ordered a white gloss kitchen with speckled mid grey work top. The kitchen area goes over suspended wood and concrete floor. I had planned to get a wood floor - changed my mind and thought about laminate, then tiles. Builder recommends wood, but I really want a grey floor and am not keen on a heavy grain look.

Any ideas for wood/engineered wood floors that look like tiles, in light silver grey?

The style in tiles at the moment is tiles that look like wood planks! Look them up on google.

Many thanks Sort Our Stuff - unfortunately there is an issue with floor levels which the builder reckons precludes tiles (I'm looking at Amtico vinal tiles at the moment). I'm looking for wood/laminate/vinal that looks like tiles - but all google searches bring up tiles that look like wood

Update - alabaster painted oak units, oak worktop, (curved end units and worktop corners) belfast sink, 1100 stainless steel rangemaster porcelain large high gloss ivory 600x600 floor tiles, ivory grout - please see attached look book just still to decide on shade of sage on walls - deciding between F&B Mizzle, Vert De Terre, Ball Green and Cooking Apple Green... Also metro sub/way tiles on walls - whether to go for a sage tile or cream/white... The dining room area off the kitchen will have oak parquet floor which will follow through from hall and will also be in the lounge but Im thinking of following the wall colour in the kitchen through to the dining room for continuity and potentially painting the chimney brest or wall furthest away from and facing the kitchen a darker green complementary colour... Thoughts please

Hi Caro, I have attached two images of wall paper that I think you compliment your kitchen. The green and blues in these wallpapers would harmonise with the existing titles and highlight the height of the room. From your ideas book it seems you like repeat patterns, both of these styles suggest a 60s feel whilst remaining contemporary. As you can see in the second photograph, the pattern and colours sit very well with the dark shiny worktop, similar to the one you mention putting in at a later date. Hello Caro, That is a spectacular kitchen and the second I have seen on Houzz that's similar.. The other was yellow but the owners ripped it out! I am very glad you're keeping yours.. The fridge is wonderful too... What would really make this stand out is if you could find a home for the pans... So the kitchen remains sleek... Could I suggest a warmer lighter granite for the worktop or perhaps a worktop that would compliment the look like Formica! ... I think black would be too harsh here.. Something with blue in would be good too so it compliments the tiles... OR keep what you have as it looks blue.... You could have blue as a theme for the flooring too... Are you changing the flooring?.. I would choose something very close to that deep red/rust/plum (can't quite work out what it is) in the granite. It looks as if that colour is also in the tea towel on the right (hanging on the handle in front of the oven). Everything else is so light I think the room would take it well and it would give it wow factor. You need a warm colour, as someone else has said, to tone with the cream of the cabinets and the granite.

Have you considered polished concrete floor if you are so keen on a grey floor? With tile/concrete floor, you might want to consider underfloor heating though.

Alternatively, Jordan Andrews supply a whole range of different timber tones and will have a range of greys as well if you check out their website.
