Vanity and Linen tower

We purchased a espresso colored vanity for our bathroom, unfortunately it did not have a matching linen tower. I was wondering if a linen tower that is espresso color but not exact would be ok. They would not be side by side, the linen tower would be across from it on a different wall. I have noticed everyones "espresso" version is a little different.

The way light is diffused within a room can make even exact colors appear a little different. If the pieces are on opposite walls, you might never even know the difference. If you are worried about matching, then choose a contrasting, but complimentary color and it will look intentional. Good luck!

Take a door from the vanity down to Sherwin-Williams and have the color matched. Then paint the linen cabinet.

Hi Weewelshdragon, You're correct, brickbond metro tiles is boring, in fact metro tiles period, are boring. Hi Jane, beautiful vanity unit and tiles you have there! Excellent choice! We agree with colourhappy, a warm wood effect tile, maybe layed out in a herringbone pattern would work very well as you can see on the photo. It would be elegant but still warm. Re C: Sorry to throw another idea your way, but there is another way to set out the storage in C. Rather than have the cupboards/wardrobes opposite the bed, you could dedicate the space under the sloping roof to the cupboard/wardrobe. ie there would be a long row of storage running parallel to the bed. (I've had this in one of my houses). To look at the wardrobe doors look square. The pitched room is hidden behind. The advantage is that you can then have sliding doors on the wardrobe, and a long hanging rail. It's only a half height -- so not good for dresses, full length coats - but fine for shirts, skirts, suits etc. This leaves the wall opposite the bed (in orientation C) free for drawers (maybe two sets of drawers - if two people are using the room) and you can display photos/vases/ etc attractively on the surface of the drawers. Maybe put art work/photos above the drawers (which you can look at from the bed), or wall paper the entire wall. So - you get a long row of hanging space (behind neat sliding drawers), you can store stuff behind and below your hanging space (because the eaves go back further), you have plenty of space for proper drawers, and you look at an attractive wall when you walk into the room. (Disadvantage - not much full height hanging space - you could add some but not alot behind the door)

The simplest solution is to put doors on the area. I would put the dog crate elsewhere as that is making it difficult to find solutions. Do you need a dog crate - is it a puppy? Stuff that can be seen never looks tidy. Is there someone in your household who can use a saw and attach some hinges? You could make MDF or wooden flat fronted doors which can be painted white. Even getting a carpenter to make the doors shouldn’t cost a fortune, but obviously a bit more than a shoestring. The curtain could work short term but I’m not sure about the lights. You don’t really want to draw the eye there. Here’s a couple of flat fronted door ideas, one painted and the other natural.

Silly question: When stores and manufacturers list vanity linen towers as 18" wide, are they talking about the exterior width or interior width? In other words, is the interior width of an 18" wide tower really less than 18"?

Keep in mind that if the cabinet has any trim or crown wider than the body, then it is the trim width that is usually measured.
