Hi Nicki, thanks for getting in touch. Unfortunately the tube extractor was sourced by the customer, so we don't know which company it's from. Sorry we couldn't be more help!

Have a look at this site for comparisons https://www.neutratest.com/ (copy and paste for some reason to go to website) Novy are supposed to be very good, its also possible to have an external mounted motor. But the ceiling extractor wouldn't be as efficient as a wall mounted due to the distance it is I would of thought and also if its electric/induction compared to a gas hob top will make a difference to how hard the extractor has to work and the size of it.

Give Falmec a try, they have some beautiful and effective recirculating extractors in the style you're looking for. If positioned in relation to your height they won't get in the way when working at the hob but when compared to vented hobs they will always block the view/sight lines more.
