Comments (11)Looks a great size kitchen, nice design! I would suggest a lighter grey tile as comment above. I'm personally not overly keen on installing highly polished tiles in kitchens due to constantly cleaning them if you suffer with OCD plus can become slippy under foot. I would advise a Matt finish if you have young children? Also does the door to the kitchen open against the side of the tall appliance unit? Comments (32)😂 You're welcome I'm just putting your ideas together in one place! I used the walnut table but as I said before I think it may need a rug against the dark floor but see what you think. The rug size may be do'able (8x10), you would need to tape it out when you're in the house so it doesn't encroach on the bar stool area. I have zero photoshop skills so just chose a rug I could edit in but just to give you an idea (Although obviously the table is the wrong way round!). Comments (18)Thanks for all your comments, lots of food for thought which we will consider carefully. I like the idea of an electric fire but my husband is a pyromaniac so would only consider a wood burner!! The suggestion of changing the position to the wall by the TV is one we will look into, it may not be possible as the living room is a single storey extension so I’m not sure about the flue. The house will definitely be warm enough without the need of a fire but there’s something lovely about having a fire, plus we want to add character to what could be a very modern, clinical new-build. I wasn’t aware you could get rotating stoves so we’ll definitely look into those. Thanks again....See More

6 years agowe have 80 x80 Porcelain in the kitchen currently. Looks great, we do have wood in the sitting room tho, If you have Underfloor heating the tiles actually conduct heat very well.
