Where to source the wood

I would like to make a kitchen bench to go with a fab table I've just bought (like the picture). Does anyone know where I could source wood like this? I'm in North Yorkshire. Many thanks

I'd personally get done scaffolding planks from a timber/builders yard. Super cheap, look great and do the job.

Some town have a wood reclyling place, I know Brighton used to. Have a google.

Ok so this may sound stupid and I have no idea if it can be achieved, I am sure a lot of tradesmen on here would laugh but I’m trying to think outside of the box for a shoestring budget. So I’m a major fan of ikea hacks, you can customise furniture for so little money and you really can be quite creative. As for faking Crittall Windows........ providing this is for internal aesthetics only I would love someone to experiment with this idea in a man cave. Use the black powder coated aluminium pax wardrobe frame from ikea and get a glazier to cut the glass to required size using the ikea inserts as a template. Obviously your door widths would have to be increased but this could work against stud partitions in large apartments to separate areas of space maybe? U can all laugh at me now!

We originally submitted it as slatted wood, but it got changed to frosted glass following an objection from my neighbour about overshadowing. i actually think she’d be less dissatisfied with it as a wood though as frosted glass is so ugly. So idea was to run it by her before i put it up. I know i’m technically obliged to follow to the letter on planning, but if building control sign it off, she is literally the only person who is going to care what the material is. so if she is happy with something wooden then that’s what i’d prefer to go for, in short. just want to find a viable option to present to her. (the precedents we drew upon were a mix of frosted glass and wood to answer your question. i did pop round to my neighbour to ask where they sourced their wooden fence from but turned out they hadn’t started construction on their approved plan so that didn’t help me)
