What's your favourite thing in your house which you bought?
Comments (10)What concerns me about buying furniture on-line is that I can't try it out to see if it is comfortable and if it fits me , which for me is a crucial quality in furniture (I'm taller, shorter chairs aren't a good fit). I also don't like not being able to assess the quality. I'm not a big fan of on-line furniture retailers for that reason and probably would not use one. So research the market, and especially the price point at which people will buy on-line. I suspect younger people are more apt to buy furniture that is reasonably priced on-line. Include all measurements (including seat height on chairs) and have a review/comment section so people can see how the folks who have bought furniture like both quality and the delivery service....See MoreWhat practical feature/item do you secretly crave for your house?

Comments (39)My husband trusts me and prefers I make all those decisions. That said I always ask his opinion on large pieces. If I left it all to him he would lose interest before finishing! Design is so not his thing. But then I'm not interested in documentaries on outer space or Lego.... Best we stick to our own interests I think! ;)...See MoreWhat's the most British thing about your home?
Comments (67)To add to my earlier comment, I think my individualism epitomises the very essence of being a true Brit. I'm not a slave to trends, just go with my heart and hope my design ideas will come together in some sort of coherent way. There's pride in that in spades, and we're a proud nation, aren't we?!...See Morepeediewee
