Help for tiles on shower feature wall

We recently moved to this house and the shower is broken. The plumber has to break the tiles to gain access and we cannot find exact matches. Therefore we thought we would just replace all the tiles on that single wall in the shower with something a bit different and make a feature of it. Pics show the shower and the overall bathroom (beige as far as the eye can see!). I thought maybe a Moroccan style tile with some colours that tone with the beige tiles. I would love some specific ideas as I feel like I have been on every tile website and just don't see anything that fits the bill. Thank you!

Hi, Making a feature of the shower can work wonderfully. Have a look at Amazing Tiles on house where we have uploaded a few new pictures just to get a quick idea. In terms of design options, you can use mosaics for a detailed inset or a textured tiles. Go for it! I think a mosaic effect will look nice on this wall. I think maybe you should also consider adding them maybe above or below the mirrors too, to pick it up along the bathroom as a whole, just so it doesn't look out of place. Good luck :)

We have an independent bathroom company near to where we live. We spent hours looking on line at different products until we were so confused with it all. We picked a Darryl shower cabinet in the end, priced up on line and then visited the local showroom to see if they would price match - they matched the price on line and gave us a really great deal. We have a rain shower and it is fab, it's not electric, just runs off the hot and cold pipes. We got our bath from the Cast Iron bath company when they had a sale on. It's worth gathering together all the items you would like to purchase and then just asking for the cheapest price from everyone, as you can see, we got a good price but still gave the business to our local showroom. Thank you. the current tiles in there are really quite big - much bigger than this size on the paper. To be honest I'm trying to do as much cosmetic improvement to the house as possible using as little money as possible so I hadn't thought of removing the bottom tiles and doing that whole wall with this paper but yes I think that would look good, much better than doing half. I imagine we could remove the current tiles ourselves but would then get someone in to re plaster that bit of wall? If so, how long is it before you can paper a newly plastered wall?

I have a similar look in my bathroom and used one wall of quartzite tiles which are green/gold. The other tiles are porcelanosa dover tiles which come in different neutral colours. I went for Dover Caliza and painted the wall Skimming Stone so it looked seamless. They are matt and textured.

That looks lovely! I think it would be a good idea to use the same tiles as the floor behind the vanity unit but then again the photo you uploaded with the dark walls and white tiles looks great. The only reservation I would have with that is there are a multitude shades of white and you may not get the right white for the porcelain. Also that wonderful bath might recede into nothingness with white tiles behind it. Were you thinking of tiling or painting the wall behind the bath?

Hi - if you're still looking for mosaic tiles then you could have a look at our online custom blender design tool where you can create your own tile blend by selecting tiles from our palette. You can change colours, increase/decrease certain colours until you achieve your exclusive blend. Some of our pre-designed blends like Marrakesh are very colourful but are lovely when used with a contrasting blend. All our tile blends are handmade in Scotland. I think large 5x5cm matt square or hexagonal mosaics in off-white would look good. It will be too difficult to match the colour or size to what you have so go for something completely different hence mosaic

We ended up using a marble rectangular mosaic tile and we love the result. It tones really well with the other tiles but the fact that it runs vertically and is polished, it looks like an intended feature. Bad pic, but...
