Renovating a bungalow to sell
Comments (3)I definitely suggest going back to a three bed, in my professional experience, bedrooms trump dining rooms! What you could do is keep the room neutral and leave it up to the buyer to decide what to do with it. Letting them know that it can easily be made into a lounge/diner is also good because they know they have options if maybe they don't need three bedrooms. But overall, a 3 bed will most likely sell better than a 2 bed! Especially since there is a conservatory which can serve as a dining room. Best of luck!...See More1930s bungalow renovation
Comments (1)Apologies if this posts twice. I cannot find the original post which I thought I sent. In case of duplication in a nutshell... Interested in renovating bungalow (not yet bought) Layout is a bit all over the place so needs a re jig. Budget of 60-70k Would like 4 bedrooms but 3 good sized may work. Kitchen large enough for island and table - over looking garden. Garden is large enough to extend into but wondered if loft conversion would be better. Forever home. Any ideas/ inspiration / rejig of floor plan would be gratefully received to help decide whether to put an offer in. Thanks...See MoreBungalow Renovations in Stockport
Comments (5)How old is the bungalow? Which walls can you remove? There was only one supporting wall in my entire bungalow so I could, in theory, rebuild the whole interior including the area taken up by the integral garage. I think it’ll be worth getting a structural engineer to check it out before making any decisions. For what it’s worth, my hallway is a massive 230sq ft, and I love it! I’m still working on it but looking forward to furnishing it and adding memorabilia to walls and shelves...See More1930's Dorma Bungalow front renovation
Comments (5)Thank you for the replies. I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking white and grey has become so generic. I love the look of wood, as you say gives it some warmth. We currently have wooden window frames which were not cheap, as their wood maybe they could be painted by a professional rather than get new ones. My front door I want to keep ideally, its mostly squares of different coloured stained glass set in red. It looks great when the sun shines though and all the colours reflect. I actually got that from a salvage yard and renovated it. So I have a bit of love for it....See MoreCreate Perfect
