How do you prepare your home for spring?
Comments (10)Swap out the throw pillows and throw blanket on the sofa. Bring out the patio cushions. Open the doors and windows. Put up a hammock. Build an outdoor garden room. Seed the lawn, stain the patio, stain the fence, paint the house trim, powerwash the roof, wash the windows, hook up the hoses, clean out the garage, have a garage sale, get the driveway sealed... Comments (3)Hi Mandyjones, We design and install highly insulated garden rooms all over the UK for clients and they are always used for different things. Art studios, music studios, offices, reading room, study room, sewing and crafts den, gym, therapy room, yoga & meditation room, outdoor bar for entertaining and I could go on and on. Another possibility is that not everyone has the space for a permanent formal dining table, and use one with fold-down leaves, for example, which can be hidden away behind an armchair, or somesuch, and wheeled out requiring the moving of other furniture) for special occasions - entertaining, or xmas dinner. For my own part, it's a combination of familiarity, and the fact that it's simply more comfortable to sit in an armchair, or on a sofa, tray on lap, even if I don't bother putting the television on....See MoreDoes your living room open up onto a patio or balcony?
