What style of bedside table goes well with a brass bed?

We have the Hardy bed from And So To Bed (pictured). I am trying to find bedside tables, but am not really sure what to look for. We're going for quite a 'traditional' Victorian look to the room, but the wardrobes will be built in (and painted) so there won't be much wood visible: would wooden Victorian-style bedside tables look odd? What about mixing it up and having some simple mid-century style tables? Please help, Houzzers!
