POLL: How do you store your bike?
Comments (18)I won a bike in a competition just before Christmas ,but due to a knee problem I'm unable to ride this beautiful prize . I knocked down my shed last summer due to its age so now have nowhere to store my bike . It's in the hall , has to be negotiated around , I'm reluctant to sell it as I want to ride it !! I live in a terrace so back access is complicated and due to the knee problem I can't haul it up the front steps !! New house needed .... for me and my bikey !...See MoreHow old were you when you bought your first home?
Comments (119)I was 24 and my husband to be 32, back in 1978, we paid £19,500 for a 3 bed terrace in south London. Our eldest son bought in 2001 when he was 19 and on a small Royal Navy salary whist at university, sadly he sold it to pay for his wedding and hasn't got back on the ladder since. Our middle son bought aged 23 and our daughter with her then boyfriend bought their first flat at 21 and 22 straight from university in 2008 with one of the last 100% mortgages, they move next week into their third property aged 29 & 30. It's always difficult to get on the ladder but the sooner you start the better. We all live in Surrey by the way and nobody has been funded by the bank of mum and dad....See MoreHow do you use your balcony or patio?
Comments (11)We build many roof terraces and dress London balconies for our clients. Depending on the size, we have had tiny spaces which are used for a cosy realaxing area to large spaces which can fit in outdoor dining areas with pergolas, waterfeatures and even Spa Jacuzzis. What ever the space you will extend the feeling of your indoors with clever lighting that you can enjoy year out during the cold winter month as a stunning back drop view....See MorePOLL: How many times do you wake up in the night?
Comments (24)Ha Ha Tani re the Mattress...................I've had a bad back for years, along with awful shoulders and a crappy neck, so has Mrs Math ( too much manual labour when we were younger ). We had an Eve mattress which Mrs Math ( Nicky ) loved. I like a bit of a moan being a chap, so whined a small amount over several years about it and other things, so we finally got rid of it. I wanted a nice firm, but plush mattress, so we bought a very expensive Sealy Posturepedic mattress believing that it would be the answer to all my problems. WRONG. I am now in more pain than ever and Mrs Math went and bought a mattress topper for her half as she hates it so much. So now she can look down on me whilst i'm in pain, a double bummer. She wants the Eve mattress back and it was less than half the price....See More- 10 years ago
