Wood Floor colour to go with 'Dulux Natural hessian' colour walls?

Hi! The walls throughout our house is painted in Dulux Natural Hessian colour. We have discovered small finger jointed parquet flooring (mix of dark brown, orangy colour finger joints) but don't like it, as feel it makes the floor space looks too busy/ cluttered. I quite like light grey coloured engineered wood floor but not sure if it will go with the wall colour. What would you suggest? Wanted to try and avoid the standard oak wood floor.
Also what accent colours would you suggest for cushions/ accessories to lift up the neutral scheme. Thanks in advance.

Hello Precious! I used Natural Hessian as the base colour all over my previous house. I had the standard new build light beige carpet throughout so a light coloured wood would work well. I personally think the grey wood wouldn't work well with it. As for accents, I used a bright duck egg blue in the bedroom, a pea green in the living room and used dulux cookie dough as a natural compliment in the hallway and landing. If you have any paint left, a good trick is to paint an a3 piece of paper and take it shopping with you. Test your favourite colours and floorings against it. A small colour swatch is pretty useless for doing this. Don't be shy to ask for samples to take home and try in situ. I found Natural Hessian didn't half change coulur in different lights and different rooms.

Hi there! I like the tiles! May be your temptation to paint the whole place white is a good idea. I think Vanilla White from Dulux will look nice and bright up the space. Your can use cobalt carpet for staircase and you have plenty of possibilities to be original with art or pictures and accessories.

I have these in a couple of the bedrooms to hang bathrobes and such on. They come in black or in white (which I would do on the White door). I love them and think you could probably do two on the door at slightly different heights. We actually tried soft truffle but it came out looking very purpley…we’ve had that happen with a couple of other rooms in our house and it’s kind of become one of our pet peeves 😂 Our carpet is a beige/cream colour, and the furniture and curtains are also cream. We’ll add colour through cushions and ornamental items so don’t mind everything else being very matchy.
