What colour paint?

Posted a while ago about our kitchen and we recently tiled which I'm really happy with.

Now we want to paint as its a very thin layer of white - not sure whether to go for a light creamy type, a grey(could look cold) or an olive (too dark?) or a combo with a darker feature wall?

Large light kitchen - cream units, dark brown work top, tiles are a light grey, darker grey, teal and olive.

If you have a couple of spare tiles, get the paint colour matched to them, it looks more professional than picking colours 'off the shelf' that are similar. I'd go for these below, as marked

Hi Sarah I like the greens you chose, I would use those dark green to paint the wall behind the kitchen unit to create a sort of feature wall the will make the beautiful kitchen to stand out. I would use a lighter tint of green for the other walls to create a welcome cosy environment. I fear to use those green throughout the kitchen could make it smaller and darker. I hope it helps Silvia

Hi I definitely would not paint the walls in a site, black colour. The walls would then look ugly against the dark tarmac. You need a contrast and I would keep the walls the same colour as the house. I would introduce a bit of black to the top capping tiles on the pillars to echo the black strip on the bottom of the house

Consider a deep, dark blue on the walls and ceiling. A sage green or stone colour, whilst lovely in and of themselves, may look washed out with the neutrals already in the bathroom. Deep and dark will make the neutrals stand out and also offer a more intimate experience - this is an en suite rather than a family bathroom, so a little intimacy should be encouraged!!!! Add some candles and a glass of red and you are there! ;-)

Mid way after doing first coat of purbeck stone. Obviously needs another coat and the white areas will be painted a brilliant white. I did have Wimbourne white but its too creamy against this

Hi Sarah I like the mid grey colour in the middle on the bottom row. The wall above your table might benefit from having a large picture on it to break up the wall and add interest as well as zone off the space for feel more like a 'dining area'. Lighting can also add warmth so you could add some funky ceiling lights on a dimmer above your dining table or a free standing floor lamp.

I largely agree with 'Man about the house' but would match the light grey tile (on the left second row down) as your tiles are fairly dark and taking up the most of one wall along with your cream units to keep as much light as possible to the room. But if you do want a feature wall then match up with the darker grey tile.
