black windows only in front of the house

My husband and I are building our first home and love the more contemporary look. We inquired about doing black windows for the house, but it is a lot more expensive. Would it look weird to just have black windows ONLY in the front of the house?

We were thinking white vertical siding and not sure if we should do white or black trim.

If you want dark Windows all the way around I would cut back on something else and get them, your house looks like it has a lot going on with too many textures, maybe you could do less stone or something o save money

I've been working on a project the last few weeks. I used a technique called Shou Sugi Ban perfect for outside use. If done properly and looked after it can last 80-120 years. Might be an option for your project.

@cyn222 Thanks. One thing I don't exactly love is the stone wall near the front door! I quite like the black tile stripe going from top to bottom (I assume this is what you are referring to as slatted wood?) The property is in Cornwall UK, but not exactly a townhouse. There is 3 in a row of a similar build, this one is right on the end, at the end of a cul-de-sac. @judyg Thanks, this is certainly a good idea.. Although I'm not sure if this may be a bit too modern?

Not really, I don't want white. Other non standard RAL choices would add £££ to an already expensive quote, black and anthracite are the same price from our supplier.

Whilst the black frames of your neighbours looks good, if you don’t want black, I would go for a mid grey on all window frames and doors front and back, including the garage door. This will look good in between your neighbours properties. If budget allows I would recommend replacing the front door as it’s dated as far as kerb appeal goes. Try a contemporary door with some glazing, in the same grey as the windows etc. Then add plenty of colourful pot plants, as others have mentioned, as much greenery as you can fit in. If you can replace the roof at the rear porch area that would be worth doing, or a damn good cleaning if not and then I would create some interest in the back garden with planting trees and shrubs within the garden space, not just down the sides of the lawn, diverting your eye to various places and giving you some privacy from the road at the same time. Have a look at some garden plan ideas on Houzz for inspiration, or speak to a pro garden designer, it can actually save you money paying for a garden plan, it stops you making costly mistakes.
