Teen boys' bedrooms

Hi
I'm sure lots of you have this problem. I have two teen boys with games consoles and tv in bedrooms. How do you make this look good and fit in with the rest of the furniture. One boy has a small box room and the other boy has smallish double room. Any pictures would be great. I've looked at Ikea and the units take up a lot of floor space. Appreciate any advice. I like things to be streamlined as possible.

Just last year we worked on a similar situation and transformed a teenage boys room into a contemporary 'hotel' looking room accommodating all of his game consoles, TV and gadgets, creating a space for him to proudly host his friends. Hi. What type of thing does your daughter want? If she wants something less girly, why not try something like this from miaohuifac? Add a brick wallpaper and walls and furniture in grey, black and white etc. If she wants something girlie in the room add bedding, cushions, great lights and an upholstered bedroom chair. . I can't take a pic as I'm sure the room will be a mess but my sons room has 3 brick walls with a huge banksy mural (not made to measure) with a grey sofa, desk with tolix chair and london street signs and tube cushions etc his is teamed with tartan style curtains and bedding to warm it up. all done very cheaply!

Hello again! Thank you for uploading the image. From what I can tell it's quite a small space and to fit all the items you wish, it will be a bit tricky. However, off the top of my head you could use a single bed with storage underneath (if you are thinking long term, you could opt for a full size bed in length-I don't know your son's age so I am not sure if this idea fits for you right know). You could use wall bookshelves to store books and a desk. Alternatively, you could opt for a wardrobe instead of the desk. It depends if you have extra space for clothes or the desk in another part of your flat/house. You could also opt for a two in one type of furniture, perhaps a wardrobe or bookshelf that has the bed integrated (that can be opened and push back up again). However, I don't know if you'll have any room left for anything else. Again, this is all just indicative to give you an idea as I don't know the details of your home or project. The best thing you could do is try and have a play around with masking tape on your floor (if that works) and recreate the dimensions of the pieces of furniture you want in the room. That will give you the best idea of how much space you'll use up and how crowded it could get. It might just be that you end up having the basics (as it is a small room indeed). Hope this helps!

I like the wall paper and although on my screen the wall paint colour looks a silver grey and the wallpaper looks a grey with a brown quality I think it will work when you have finished. Lots of people have a wobble before the room is finished and it looks a little bare. Personally I think you need to take at least one of the accent colours from the wallpaper such as the navy and use it elsewhere- such as lamp shades, soft furnishings and art.
