Hi Outside Space - perhaps you are forgetting about the can size when you compare costs. Farrow and Ball Modern Emulsion is £43.50 for 2.5L - so £17.40 per litre. Aura is £65 per US gallon (3.87L) - so £17.10 per litre. Similarly, Estate Eggshell is £55 for 2.5L - so £22 per litre and Aura Eggshell is £70 for a US gallon - so £18.40 per litre. Our shipping charge is also comparable or lower to all other UK manufacturers including Farrow and Ball. I am not sure about the prices in Canada because the Benjamin Moore CA site does not state prices, but we benchmarked very carefully against prices in the US. A US gallon of Aura cost $69.99 ex sales tax, which when you convert to pounds, and add on EU import duty and UK VAT @ 20%, you will see is comparable to our own price. We introduced Benjamin Moore in the UK because of its exceptional quality versus the paints available on the market here. We do have lower cost lines than those I mention above (which I quoted based on that fact you mentioned F&B). Regal Select retails at £14.20 per litre and Ultra Spec at £10 per litre. Both of these line represent excellent value for money based on the quality of the paint in the can. Many of the professional painters who now use Benjamin Moore exclusively here in the UK tell us that the quality of Benjamin Moore far exceeds other UK brands based on the quality of the finish, the durability and the hide/opacity. Remember that Rome wasn't built in a day.. Neither the house you want to make a home... If the house feels right. With your Head and your heart, location. Then if it's the house for you it will work.. Move in and adjust each day... Yes you can put your Mark on the house, yes it will be your HOME... But live with it for at least a short while.. Don't be hasty to paint.. See where the sunshine..shines...See where it makes dull on a dark day...So you Can add a mirror maybe to reflect the daylight.. Don't make the pennies stretch any further than they are.. Remember that sadly the bills have to come first..!!!.... Improvise pieces to fit and...if you have to save for the right item....Then save..!!! it will be more practical in the end , rather than buying for the sake of it and having to buy another a few months down the line... Don't fill every room with furniture.... My biggest mistake... Use a piece like a sideboard and think practically the uses.... Is it big enough.. One more draw or cupboard would have better than two smaller ones...don't be afraid to add old stuff that we all now reuse..paint it ...add your own art work... It's a long journey.. To find the destination of all your dreams... And when you feel you have achieved what you have done...then sit back and enjoy all your hard work. And live in your HOME... Enjoy. Relax.. And above all have fun...

I'm glad they're comfy! It's a shame the tolix is cold, I've got them in my basement which is cold anyway hence why I probably don't notice! You may find cheaper but I know Nordic House do fur seat pads. No I wouldn't reconsider a corner sofa. I was just trying to look for cheaper options for you which a normal sofa would have been. I've had a proper look for corner sofas now but all the emerald ones I've found are in velvet :( I would definitely get the sofa stainguarded in case of any mishaps with your daughter! I tried looking to see if sofa.com had a Black Friday deal on last year with potentially a bigger discount but they don't appear to have done

Hello there, I see you've put a lot of thought into kitchen and dinning area and 1 year is not so long time ago. It would be a shame to strip everything off and start from the begging. I think we can fix easily what you've got there! First when I see your kitchen, I don't see blue, I see slim kitchen cabinet with slim handles and chunky metro tiles back splash. Along with this fact, tile colour starts dominating in the room and it shouldn't happen. Tiles should be an accent but not dominant. Moreover It stands out on its own and doesn't work with blue. I would start from fixing kitchen colour. Get colour tone or two darker than your tiles. I would suggest Natural taupe 1 Dulux. It is rich and warm colour. It will calm kitchen down, in a matter colours are not blending and not matching at the moment. Rich taupe will come tone darker than your tiles and will make white kitchen stand out more. It sounds like paradox but using rich (darker) neutral tone, you brighten your kitchen up. White will stand out and this is your first impression when you enter - light, clean kitchen. Here is internet example of Taupe1 Dulux Moreover, taupe is quiet warm tone and will make kitchen more cozy and it will play well with tiles and flooring. Paint three walls: behind cabinets, wall around window and double doors wall around door. Wall with 3 pictures in the dining room leave blue as a feature. It is great way to show that this area is separate. Blue curtains will show up better with neutral background, leave it. As for pendant in dining room, choose something white to complement white kitchen cabinets. Bring a little bit of white colour to this side. I will agree with comment above that you should add fresh and may be a little bit bright colour in the kitchen. You will have 2 areas in one space, it will give you a right to add roller or Roman blinds with mustard (muted yellow) with grey or blue or teal in pattern) on a window. Add pots with green herbs or even faux grass in pots from Ikea. Your kitchen and dining will look fab with this few changes. Alena, Cheers
