How is this shower glass wall mounted?

It is structural glass. It is supporting itself plus invisible channels in the floor and in the wall which sandwich it quite a long way in - possibly 2 inches of glass blade sunk into the floor and wall.

Is it South facing ?! Might get pretty warm in summer and pretty cold in winter ?! I have a large roof light in my kitchen and it's always pretty Baltic right underneath it in winter !!! It's lovely in summer though! That aside - re lighting - the obvious places are wall lights and under and over cabinet lighting - sneaky lights that come on when you open drawers and cabinets can help too - task lighting in busy areas like sink and hob could be LED or halogens in flyover boarding if you want a more modern look - or pendent lighting or fishermans lamps for a more laid back look these could either come off the tops of wall cabinets or cabled off the support bars of your glass roof .

You could use Mirrored Acrylic sheet for the back. It's far more easily cut and will look effective. You can put the acrylic up and still drill through it to put up the shelves, which you can't do with mirror so easily. Bear in mind though, that if you want strip lights, they don't stick particularly well in my experience, plus, if using glass, you will see them. You may be better off with Mirrored acrylic for the back and wooden shelving or black shelving to tie in with the kitchen. You can add a lip to the wood with quadrant on the front of the shelf, this then allows the strip lighting to sit on the wood and it will stay where you put it, plus the little quadrant lip with direct the light slightly backwards on to the mirror. However, you will still see the reflection of the back of the wood and the strip lighting in the mirror. I think i'd be tempted to go with the mirrored acrylic with your glass shelves and no strip lighting. You have a spot light very nearby, so the acrylic will pick up on that. You have no socket / power source nearby for the transformer, so you'd have to come off one of the spotlights, mount it in the ceiling and then come down to the shelves. Seems a shame when you'e just finished all the plastering.

Do you mean an 'oriel' window? I don't know about pricing, but you can probably contact a couple of suppliers to give you estimates? A quick google and amongst loads of others these came up too. How easy is it to add glass panels either side of a front door?

A picture of your current front door would be handy, but assuming the current lintel is only supporting a normal front door width, you will likely need a builder to replace the existing lintel with a wider one and knock out the adjacent brickwork to accommodate the width of the side lights (glass windows). Then the new door and side lights can be measured for and fitted. And you have all the 'making good' on the inside.
