Contemporary bedroom door colour
Comments (8)Personally if I was having a padded wall, I would let that be the feature point of the room. If you introduce a coloured featured wall it may fight for attention. If you want something bright, why not do the padded wall in a bold or bright colour? Or if you want a little colour try duck egg which goes with pretty much everything.I've attached a couple of pics using neutrals. The 1st one may be a little feminine in style but the colour combos are quite restful. . Or why not try the taupe and black Iv the room is light enough? I think the colour combo makes it look a little expensive. Images from Noel Jeffrey and image-gallery....See MoreMore smaller bedroom or less bigger bedrooms
Comments (11)So a dormer loft conversion costs the same as a side extension? It sounds like you'll be getting more space for the side extension for the same amount of money then. Have you had a look at other bungalows down your road or area that have had extensions vs no extensions and see what they have sold for, then you can see if it's worth it but who knows what the market will be like in a couple of years time. In terms of appealing to more when selling, people probably would prefer bedrooms upstairs but if bedrooms are larger and downstairs is huge it will be more attractive to buyers ( I think ) especially if there is a large family. Lots of new builds have a bedroom downstairs so it's not unusual plus families considering a bungalow won't be looking for the norm in terms of layout so 2 bedrooms downstairs is fine. You can also ask your estate agent that sold you the bungalow, get their thoughts on what is attractive to buyers, I'm sure they'll be helpful in case you'll use them in the future :-)....See MoreChoice of big bathroom, 3 bedrooms or tiny bathroom, 4 bedrooms.
Comments (13)If you intend staying here for a decade then you should make this house work for you and not the next people. I think that since you have already flagged extending in 10 years you should also future proof your plans now. If it were me I would have a bedroom where the current big bathroom is in order to give you the possibility of later extending over the ground floor extension. I would also want a super sized bathroom for my use - I have always believe the person paying the mortgage should have a better bathroom than people who visit three times a year. And I would take the view that when a loft bedroom is later added it won’t matter if one of the four bedrooms is compact. So I offer an alternative....See MoreSame colour cabinets in bedroom and in kitchen
Comments (5)No issues picking the same colour - you can always accent the rooms very differently if so desired. Cashmere, Limestone & Taupe remain our most popular colours for a bedroom, with soft greys & subtle blues close behind. "Sand oak" has also proven a very popular options - soft, soothing, natural and very hard wearing. Matt shakers are timeless and will give a more opulent traditional feel, though with careful design & handle choice can feel suitably contemporary. Take care with gloss slab doors - they can show every fingerprint, depending on lighting conditions and without good design can be bland/clinical....See MoreAby
