We didn't attend but personally I love the Husqvarna Garden, especially the seating area at the back :-)

We liked James Basson's L'Occitane Garden the best and not just because we supplied the furniture! His planting was sublime and authentic.

My great grandmother was named Daisy, so daisies have got to be my personal favourite! the fresh sense of summer that you feel when you see the lawn littered with the beautiful creatures! They are beautiful and so precious, with their white faces sunbathing all day. Got to be considered my favourite :)

Voted for Floral but all of the styles are beautiful in different ways. I imagine floral style that comes with a cosy living room with lots of soft furnishings and a granite fireplace to gather around to.

Same as others I love different flowers and plants, but have to mention my irises. I love them for deep purple colour, chocolatey-vanilla fragrance, velvet petals of their enormous heads (bigger than palms of my hands), height and juiciness of their chunky stems and pointy leaves. And they bloom at the end of may - start of June which is a lovely time of the year, already lush and warm and summer is still ahead :)

Sonia (and all), can I ask for your help pretty please?? I‘ve just bought 2 potted olives to put outside my door. They’re classed as young but the tallest is c8ft and the other c7ft and the trunk is quite thick with big crowns. The pots are 50 x50. I enquired re watering and was told to water at least 3 or 4 times a week During the summer and once in winter. I asked for the volume but was told no fast rule as just had to be kept moist and I can’t overwater (my concern) due to drainage holes (Although the pots aren’t on feet). Problem is how do I know if it’s moist at the bottom and I also thought young olives shouldn’t have waterlogged roots? They‘re also full of olives btw. Any help would be appreciated. I thought I’d try and take advantage of all the gardeners on one post!! I could go back to the company obviously but feel like I’m going back with contradictory advice just from the net and They’re expert growers..

Bit difficult to avoid though @credz4. I bet the Queen gets a good feel for it for her private view!

Really liked the box hedging where it was shaped in step formation. Superb link with the trees clipped above in a similar fashion.

I watched the BBC coverage of Chelsea but was not at all impressed (and it seems to get worse each year). The gardens are much too self-conscious and over-engineered. Its all very tiresome and silly, with the rather tragic interest in so-called 'celebrities' and perfection!

You can't help wondering what the carbon-footprint of Chelsea is as well as the crazy financial cost. Chelsea is just about as far-removed from real nature, ecology and sustainable gardens as you can get!
