Comments (0)I have 2 large and minimalist Italian sofas that need recovering. The covers are fine but having been white are very dingy. The price quoted for this is more than that of new sofas. Does anyone have any idea about dying sofa covers or any similar services? Many thanks for any advice. Happy new Year....See MoreLooking for Cheaper Alternatives to Passenger Lifts
Comments (0)Spectacle and Practical Our Vertical Platform Lifts are excellent alternatives to traditional passenger lifts. If you are an architect or a builder, you will be familiar with the problems passenger lifts pose to design and cost. Having to dig down further than anticipated to accommodate the lifts pulley system, can affect the buildings foundations, meaning more work to fix this problem, or having to find expensive alternatives to a lift. Our reduced pit passenger lifts work with hydraulic technology and without the complicated pulley system; quite often the pit that needs to be dug to accommodate the lift is only a fraction of the pit needed for a traditional lift. Our reduced pit lifts are perfect for heritage buildings, homes, and public buildings. Uncompromising Style All of our accessibility solutions are fully bespoke. Many of the exterior features can be customised and designed to match building architecture or colour schemes. While the exteriors are able to be designed to the customer’s needs, our products never compromise on safety or comfort and meet all safety regulations. Cost-effective Solution Accessibility should be considered in every building. If you are designing a forever home, it is more convenient to install a lift to other floors now, then in the future when your need for a lift becomes critical. “The best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago, the second best time is now.” – an old Chinese Proverb. Get ahead of the game. Installing a through floor lift is the most cost effective solution to your mobility issues in the future. Installing it now, is smart, convenient, and causes no interruption to your life in the future. What do we mean by cost effective? Well consider the other options in the future, an expensive stair lift, moving house to one with accessibility features built in, or moving to a care home. Suddenly, installing that through floor lift twenty years ago seems like the best option. Check out our range of through floor lifts, bespoke lifts, and platform lifts. Comments (4)We do have a sofa bed from Ikea which we bought second hand BUT, for extra guests there are deep blow up beds that are self inflating (so no spending an hour pumping it up!) AND, we bought a thick mattress topper to keep under our own mattress that we can pull out when needed to go onto the blow up. Comfy as a normal bed then but doesn’t take up any space...See MoreJuliet Docherty
