Comments (3220)Hey everyone! Good to hear from you all again. We have 2 wks before we go back to school. It's been a busy summer but good. My boy (14) is in marching band and they've been practicing all summer for the fall football games. He is worn out. My girl has been playing with friends and is doing a bit of a room redo herself (she is 10). Nice to see you all are well. We took a weekend a bit ago to Chincoteague VA and it was great! Hopping over to visit the corridor thread now....See MoreLive Chat with Dulux Amazing Space: How to find your style
Comments (91)Hi @lexoo2020 Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay in responding to you, we are just getting to grips with Houzz so it has taken us a little longer that we would have liked to get back to everyone. Have you thought about using paint to create some feature elements on your wall? This way you can introduce your favourite colours in the room while creating some beautiful décor. You can paint a hexagon pattern on one of your walls as shown in the video below; just replace the colours with the ones you like and that will complement your room’s colour scheme. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSLT9XYkdO4 Alternatively, how about making a collage of your favourite pictures in frames of various sizes and colours? This way you can include all your favourite moments and people in your room while still styling your space. The image below can give you an idea of how to mix and match to create the perfect look! If you would like some extra storage, why don’t you try some floating shelves? You can decorate them with your favourite accessories, and by adding a pop of colour on the edge, as the picture shows below, you create interest in your room in a subtle way....See MoreHow to finish my living room Mediterranean summer vibe decor?
Comments (10)Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions this is really inspiring! I've been looking into shutters but would like something softer around the window too, maybe voiles or something. I love all the attached pictures, where can I buy it all? I also really wanted to add something bold with the Greek key pattern but I haven't found anything I like yet. I love Greek and Roman styles, gods and gladiators and holidays in Europe have been my inspiration for the wall I wanted to bring it all to my living room in rainy England to cheer my up on those dull days! Any ideas how I can add the greek key pattern? I don't have any more pictures with me but the room flows through to a dining area/extended seating area at the end with patio doors on to the garden. Its an extension so we have an arch between the rooms with ceramic up lights under the arch. This end of the room is still white. I would gratefully receive ideas for this end of the room too....See MoreWhat colour are your living room walls?
Comments (11)If you're going to go with an all white look I always recommend that clients consider using a 'silk' paint. They really bounce the light around, and don't become dusty and yellow/grey over time as matt emulsions usually do. As a side bonus they are wipeable, so no need to repaint an area if you make some marks - just wipe them away. Very practical. My clients who are listing their homes for sale often repaint to freshen up the place, and the winning combination of colours that sells homes seems to be: Base color: Pure Brilliant White - Silk | Accent Color (and hallways): Polished Pebble - Silk The combination is fresh & clean looking and goes with almost all decorative styles. :)...See Moredecor178
