Thanks I have looked at Godmorgons but they are only 900 mm high; these in the picture are closer to 1300mm but maybe I can make the Godmorgans work.

Ha ha! Of course. I attach the plan. I spent a LOT of time thinking about the layout - you’ll see that some Houzzers helped me from my previous posts! Happy to answer any questions about the final logic. The cabinets are from unitsonline.co.uk, Barnes, from the Burbidge range, in soft grey and pale navy. DH installed them. Worktops are unistone Bianco Misterio, from Mayflower Stone. Appliances are all Smeg, with the exception of the wine fridge, which is mQuvee.

Shelleyuk there has been a real problem uploading photos this last couple of weeks, not your fault. Best to use the Houzz App which lets you upload pictures but there is no Edit function, so check through your text before submitting! It has been reported.

Johnathan’s idea of a ‘free standing’ mirror (attach the top to the wall to stop it falling over) in the dark wall area between the windows would be fab. Remember framed prints with glass will also reflect light from the side and give you something to view. I would also consider making the curtain rail much wider to get the material away from the edges of the windows when open. You can see on the floor the shading caused and this would allow more natural light in. The ceiling height and window size mean blinds would not be a good alternative as they would block light and pull the ceiling lower. Also a large cream floor rug will help reflect light upwards. Love the room and with you on the ‘no paint’ option.
