Bathroom layout / tiles
Comments (13)Hi Gina I'm currently working on a small bathroom and I know they can be tricky! You certainly don't need to fully tile both walls as it currently is unless you're particularly concerned about condensation and moisture. You could tile halfway on the wall with the loo and basin or even just a splashback behind the basin but it depends on the style of the room, the tiles your using, paint colours etc. If you find the area to be tiled is making it quite expensive, there are plenty of budget options that don't look 'cheap' if you use them in the right way. Get in touch if you'd like to discuss options or if you'd like any more advice. Look forward to seeing the 'after' pics!...See MoreWhich bathroom layout to go with ??
Comments (5)Option 1 or 4. Option 1 - would depend on which way you access your cupboard and how desperate you are for the storage it provides. Option 4 - I would flip the door to open the other direction and consider changing the radiator to a towel radiator. This option will give the more spacious feel at the sacrifice of the cupboard. There are ways to incorporate additional storage, such as making a full cabinet under the sink....See MoreHow would you layout this master bathroom?
Comments (6)Hi Allegra, I see you've duplicated the post, my answer is on your first one. But, basically it's this:- When I plan, i like to try to visualise exactly what will greet me when i open the door. In this case I chose not to see either the toilet or bidet, and to give the persons using those a little privacy. ( I'm guessing that plumbing requirements dictate that the soil pipe be near to the outside wall with the window on it. ) Therefore, upon opening the door, straight ahead is the double vanity with low (false ) wall behind it ( i made mine 1.2 Metres high ), This gives way to room for possibly a small shelf etc upon which to put soap etc. It also disguises behind it, the toilet and bidet, now not visible from the door. The toilet roll holder will site on the wall on the left next to the toilet. You also have room to hang towels on the wall to the left of the basins. The bath went in the top right corner ( and drains straight through the outside wall ) . Then to the immediate right upon opening the door, a large walk in shower. The towel radiator sits between the shower and the bath and is easily accessible from both. Maybe that would work for you?...See MoreWhich bathroom layout....
Comments (53)This one bothered me........a lot...........kept me awake in fact.......terrible insomnia. Thus when I gave up and got up at 5am, I drew up this one.........to scale. The third bedroom for me is the issue. If you're going to the trouble of removing a bathroom and resiting it, then make the most of every available inch and make it worth it. The little bedroom as is, just re-using the bathroom, will not work for long. It's just too small. Once you've put a bed in there eventually, there's no room for anything else. Plus, you don't have to do it like that.......so, amend it. A flat with 3 good sized rooms is worth more and more importantly will last you a lot longer, saving costs on having to move.Basically with regards bedroom 3, I put two doors in the middle wall that's causing the problem for everyone. I pushed back the left hand wall to include the space under the stairs, giving the room a built in wardrobe. I put a square top right to give access to the Hallway for that bedroom and bedroom 2, since we didn't want bed 2 opening in to the lounge. Bedroom 3 then has plenty of room for a cot, a chest of drawers and a nursiing chair. Plus, when you want to move to a bed, it still has room for everything. The En-suite is sufficient and the family bathroom quite large, large enough for shower and bath to help future use....See Moreshilpadadia
