What type of wood is this and do you have info on the hardware?

This is gorgeous. We are working with a builder on an entry door but don't know where to source this type of minimalist hardware. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I helped my Dad build a fire pit in his garden, he made wooden seats to sit around the metal fire pit with old stone columns for extra seating (unfortunately you can't see the actual fire-pit as behind the stone bench). For me it totally depends on the style of room. I currently have a plain chic leather one which works well in my room as its not vast. But when a room is very large, then a headboard can be an incredible feature. The great thing about headboards is that they can add such depth to a space, either by way of colour, texture or intricate detailing they are also great alternatives to Mirrors and art if you want the bed to take centre stage.

How do you apply varnish of a different color on a varnishe wood shed?

The varnish may fade over time and you will need to redo it at some point. Are you sure that it was varnish and not woodstain? You can buy garden fence paint which comes in many different colours. I used Cuprinol Garden Shades (similar paints are available) in a pale colour on a shed that had previously been stained dark green and it looked much better.

Thank you for your kind comments Jerrod - we're delighted you like the door. The construction is from a solid timber called 'Accoya' which is very dimensionally stable. For the ironmongery, have a look at Ashardware.co.uk - they do a unique range of entrance door handles. Hope this helps.
