F & B stiffkey blue v. LG Hicks Blue

Can anyone advise me as to similarity of these two colours pls? Was going with stiffkey blue but think LG's intelligent Matt emulsion might be better paint choice. On the paint charts they look really similar. Unfortunately our local supplier for LG paints isn't open today so can't get a tester pot to try out. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

Hello Tamp75 The LG Hicks Blue has more green than FB Stiffkey Blue. Here they are side by side.

A couple of other possibilities are Benjamin Moore Twilight

and Benjamin Moore Gentleman's Gray

Thanks for your help. They look really different there - much more so than on the colour charts. Presume hicks blue is the paler of the two? Have heard of BM paints but not sure that we have any suppliers near us - we're in Cornwall.

I tend to think it's really worth deciding what it is you want to jump out and be a feature and what it is you'd rather wasn't noticed ;) If the rug is one of the loveliest things in the room and you want that to feature more (plus set against parquet floor which is lovely too) then I'd probably choose a colour that doesn't overpower the rug. Saying that and putting rug to one side I would personally be inclined to keep a dark shade (particularly as it appears to set off the sofa nicely) - maybe Stiffkey Blue or Pelt by F&B would work. If that would still overpower the rug (and this is to be a feature you want picked out) then go light and perhaps take it onto the ceiling too/ pick out the coving/ picture rail/ skirting and doors with a different shade. I did my lounge in Blackened (walls + ceiling) with Cornforth on woodwork/ doors / Wimborne on picture rail and coving. I would personally lose the curtains/ pelmet - looks a bit 'heavy' and quite dominating - however if those are lovely (hard to tell from pic) then again to make them more of a feature then go light on the walls.... I think new art is a good idea. We all like a little refresh of wall art every now and then, and I really don’t blame you. I think The Range is good for cheap and cheerful art, and surprisingly good. Wayfair are also good, and for the more special art prints I’ve found King & McGaw very stylish. Of course you could go to an art gallery and choose an original piece if budget allows. Awesome unit! I think it will really add something to the room, I think it works with the sofa as the legs are similar in shape. However, it's a large unit and like Jonathan, I can't see it fitting in to the room unless you use the unit instead of the Besta Units and put the T.V in one of the Cubby Holes. You would obviously need to specify the size for one of the apertures. ( Exactly as Marina had in one of her Renders on your other post )

why matching 'feature' sockets? why not have more discrete/blended sockets eg wall colour and have the switches in feature finish as easier to see. but these too could be more discrete and then no need to try and match everything? they are such functional things so no idea why anyone would want to emphasise them.

You don't need to know a BM supplier as we'll deliver sample pots &/or paint directly to your door - with rollers and brushes too if needed.

FB Stiffkey Blue is the first one and LG Hicks Blue the second.

You should consider the undertones of each colour and what you are using them with as this will be a big guide in knowing which is the right colour for your space.

Thank you. Nearly into our second year of house renovations so have plenty of brushes & rollers just need to make some decisions - confusing myself now. Will contact you if I need some paint. Thanks.
