Need help choosing paint colour to compliment light and floor..
Comments (6)I think I would go with the purbeck stone. I have elephants breath but it can be warm in South facing rooms and as your flooring is really warm I'd go for a contrast. I wouldn't go for the Hardwick for the same reason. Maybe get testers of both though to see how it works? The Dulux looks nice but I think a deeper contrast with the White may work better i...See MoreNeed help choosing paint colour for church hall
Comments (3)Hello appydaysdevon, With artificial lighting I would suggest going with some warm tones. Also dense and chalky is my preference. Little Greene is often a suggestion with a range of many lovely colours including a grey palette, but I would stay with blue considering the carpet.... Team with something like Whitening which is a lovely chalky warm white. Should you decide to take a look at that one. I have used Dulux in the classics range.. Here Bone China might have been a nice choice if you want to stick with D for above the panelling.. Given you have a mid to dark blue carpet which will be fitted... It would be a nice idea to continue on this theme. Go a shade darker or keep to the same shade re the carpet. I'm intrigued by what is above the false ceiling... :))...See Morehelp me choose paint colours ASAP!
Comments (4)The dark colour should be below the dado rails and lighter colours above otherwise it will feel like a tunnel. It will depend how much light you get and is the room North or South facing? Colours will differ and feel cold if it is North facing. Choose warmer for North and cooler colours for South facing room. I like the Shaded White range shown above. Patch test a wall area and watch the colour change during the day....See Morekitchen paint colour help
Comments (15)@Carolina I like the colours in the photo you've shared, they look more neutral than grey which is what I want. Do you know what colours they might be? To give you more of an idea of the space this photo is taken from the kitchen end of the room facing away from the kitchen and I've added Amitco Blonde Oak added using their clever room visualiser (we want a wood effect LVT which brings warmth to the room) . You can see we do have the dark framed doors (anthracite grey) which might help tie in a dark island, although they are some distance away. Was also thinking of going dark blinds in the bay window, such as these double roller in iron grey. But maybe better going for Navy if we went with @Juliet Docherty's suggestion of Basalt 221 We're having Quartz worktops and wanted to keep it white with a subtle vein, so something like this. This was my attempt at a mood board which I put together many months ago when starting the project....See Morehazeloct2
