2ndhand gas stove

We currently have an old fashioned gas fire (Victorian cast iron style with tiled side panels) but are having renovations and I want to change to a gas stove and new fire surround. I've found a secondhand Stanford 50 but am getting conflicting information re flue/ventilation/adapting the chimney etc. I'm totally confused! But can't afford full price brand new. Does anyone have an experience and can offer an unbiased X opinion please?

Tv and insert gas cassette stove

Hi All We are getting rid of the fireplace etc and replacing with an insert cassette stove. There will be no chimney breast etc so it will be a flat wall when completed. Struggling to decide where to place TV and stove on the wall (cannot put TVs over stove). Any ideas? Thanks a mill!

problem regarding a gas pipe

my problem is simple, I have the gas pipe running behind the oven and I fear the outside temperature of the oven will eventually destroy the gas pipe. are there any insulation that protects the heat from reaching the pipe? shops that I've visited say they only have insulation to retain the heat and have not dealt with this situation. any advise to offer? I thought of running the gas pipe over the kitchen counter, but I will have to make a hole in the stone to take the pipe back down to connect it to the stove. the red dots is where the pipe is now running, the yellow is what might be possible, but with a hole in the stone near the stove. any advise is highly appreciated!
