New spashback queries

Hello! Weve just had a new splashback installed and I'd love your advice.

1. we seems to have a few gaps (apparently our wall isn't straight
... or so we are told ). Has anyone had experience with filling/ covering such gaps?

2. Do you think the parts of the walls in the orange boxes shouldn't have the glass, and perhaps just the paint instead?

Do you have any pictures of the issues with this splashback? I could pass it on to our Glass & Glazing team to see if they're able to confirm what you've been told.

Hi, Is the back splash glass or large tiles? I know that you can buy metal caps to hide the gaps for this, so I presume that you can also use them for glass?

I think you have to be careful upsetting your neighbour if you are going to need them to be cordial when you come to do some work. I also think their builder has botched it and it should go into a soakaway. However - given that the brickwork and the grate in the drive all suggest a good job is it possible it is temporary and the job is incomplete? I would open a cordial conversation with the neighbour about his further plans as you might find it will be resolved before it has time to cause a problem. You can state your concerns about water run off and freezing hazards but it might not be necessary.

She is saying that the UK is currently having a consultation on this topic and to write to your representatives. " Please consider writing to the UK officials and letting them know about your concerns regarding the use of FRs in the UK furniture in order to meet ineffective furniture flammability standards. The UK Office for Product Safety and Standards is holding a consultation on its proposed approach to the fire safety of domestic upholstered furniture and furnishings. The deadline is October 24.
