Comments (8)Hi. It's a lovely room, I wouldn't touch walls, they're already balanced and any changing will add to the busy feel your furniture first impression gives. I suggest removing all clutter first to make it easier for you to imagine and test different options with what you have before going on spending money. Remove all accessories on/under window and tables, take out side tables and toys then bring it back in after you're settled with the main furniture arrangement. Ideas may be covering the brown sofa in grey or a colour similar to new cushions for the cream sofas, don't let the grey sofa centred, either have a long bench style seat or move one cream so they create a corner and add side tables with matching centrepieces maybe lamps. A rug is necessary. I also suggest changing the carpet to a looped type that combines cream and grey shades or a lighter grey or cream, but then you'll need a rug to zone up the kids area and keep the mess controlled. Hopefully I could help a little. A larger dramatic adjustment would be to switch zones, so that your living becomes formal with a dining and the family zone moves to the dining space. There are many pic showing family spaces in similar conservatory style room to the one you have. A pic in that area may help with ideas. Good luck!...See MoreHelp with choosing and placing fireplace please
Comments (5)Lol, I do need new contact lenses but some of it looked like a photo! I have to say I love the look of it in the top left corner however seating in theory I think should face the fire...can you swap the stairs and fire (and alter the kitchen design slightly?). You could then extend the tv unit so it isn't close to the fire and have it off centre on the unit. Or swap the tv wall and sofa wall and perhaps change the gradient of the stairs slightly so they're more visible? Or have it suspended in the room somewhere between the tv and garden so bottom right of the image...See MoreInterior design of the living room - ready to buy and worried!
Comments (13)Hi Claire. I had a quick look yesterday and one company quoted starting prices from £34sqm and another £45, however I'm guessing that may rise if just doing a small area rather than a room due to the actual process. I was actually due to get a quote last week but cancelled as it looked ridiculous with my room to ceiling proportions which is unfortunate as it could have given you an idea! I do think you could pull the tiles off but it might be tricky. I think texture works really well in an industrial scheme so maybe another option is wallpaper? These are all Osborne and little papers, names were something like metropolis, crocodilo, zingrina and mako in no particular order! The last pic is actually showing the black wall which looks like leather rather than the polished plaster...See MoreCreate Perfect
