Comments (3)I would choose colours similar to the tiles as I don't think you need to add any more to the space. Our November Gorse could look really nice: http://www.paintbyconran.com/en-GB/all-colours/m/product/view/52/preserve-elements Or if you wanted another shade of grey to pick up the walls perhaps Sodden Clover: http://www.paintbyconran.com/en-GB/all-colours/m/product/view/44/preserve-elements, or I actually think Pale Veronica: http://www.paintbyconran.com/en-GB/all-colours/m/product/view/8/preserve-elements (which is a pale blue) could look lovely too! Let me know if you need anything else. Georgie...See MoreSpring time in the conservatory brings chairs into flower
Comments (10)Thank you all for the kind comments, the fabric is an Ashley Wilde design, which came from the remnant room of the nearest fabric shop - total cost of this project was £5 in material (they have a huge section of £2.50 p/m roll ends). The fabric shop has an online presence it is called grahamsandersoninteriors of Harrogate and I can thoroughly recommend them (I don't work for them) they have made me lots of blinds and curtains and they are great....See MoreAwful layout is bringing us down! Comments (36)Thank you - @ J - My take on the buying a house is more to do with location and potential, we can change the layout, but not the location:-) Thank you @Man..,sorry, was there a reason why you kept the place for the original loo intact? Apart from the Utility room, which I’m not very keen on having in the middle of the house, but I feel knocking into the garage feels inevitable. There are four houses build to that layout and having seen the other three, I’m not very keen on the their solutions so I’m looking for something with less walls and flow that works for us...not easy! @Jen, I agree with you; I get the feeling we feel the layout similarly, I’m reassured I’m not just being on my own:-) We haven’t defined budget yet. As someone mentioned above, it’s worth waiting&get it right than hurry and get it wrong..I’m just hoping that this ideal set up is not that illusive! Im hoping to meet with an architect shortly and have ooptions....See MoreWhat do do with rocking chairs.
Comments (1)We inherited two American rocking chairs when we bought our house. They're currently sitting in the conservatory(which is our next project). I'm reluctant to get rid of them because although they're an awful colour the wood is beautiful and they're in excellent condition. Any ideas how I could modernise them? The back cover comes off, the skirt is stapled to the wood....See MoreUser
