Where Can I source kitchen with non-standard size cabinets

Renovating and extending my Edwardian house in London currently. So far unable to find a kitchen manufacturer or supplier that can cater for high ceilings without having several small cabinets stacked (which I don't really like the look of). Have already considered Howdens and other popular high street brands. Although nice, they won't do non-standard sizes or slab painted doors which are two things I really don't want to compromise on. Is my only option a £30k kitchen?! Any other suggestions please? Taste is similar to attached image! Many thanks!

You need to consider 2 important points.

1. Raw material sizing will restrict how high you can make your units. You also need to consider transport. Its one thing to make a 3m high tall unit (not possible as most material sheets max out at around 2.4-2.5m) but how do you transport it. How do you bring it round corners in houses etc?

2. Special sizing and slab painted doors are not what you would find in sheds. You need to look at independents or bespoke cabinet makers and yes you would have to pay for specially made furniture.

Struggling to find any independent or bespoke kitchen manufacturers that are within budget unfortunately.

Hi there. Completely agree with everyone, you should paint the cupboards. I really like the colours in this picture as I think that the slightly 'greyer' off white cupboards would tie in well with your beautiful grey tiles. You wouldn't necessarily have to go so light on your worktop as in this picture. The laminate you showed in your third picture is really nice, where is it from? Currently doing my kitchen and trying to find a laminate that I like!

Dear Wombatchild The two double ovens are on that back wall. The distance from them to the end of the island is 2.6 mtrs. The bank of units is mirror imaged from the centre of the ovens and that means there are two slim pull out larder cupboards on that wall. That 2.6m means that they can be pulled out and it is still no problem for traffic to be flowing past. My hob is on the island itself and the extractor comes up through the granite when in use. That far end of the island is great for taking things out of the oven and checking on food ...... turning potatoes over etc... To the left of that bank of units is a door to my boot room so I need walk way space there. This thread is quite old now and I may be repeating something I typed earlier but I love my kitchen ( think it is about six years since I had it out in) ..... The only things I would have done differently would have been not to have stainless steel sinks as they are a devil to keep looking nice! And I would like more contemporary pendant lights over the island instead of those chrome chandeliers - can change them but still working on husband on that point!!!! X

Hi Julian H, Wow, many thanks for your amazing inspiration! I love the idea of bifold doors, although that would take me way over my budget....but it would be lovely - and has got me thinking...! Unfortunately I don't want to lose the single door as that is the door to a small bathroom which is difficult to access from elsewhere and would then be access from a carpeted floor rather than a tiled floor, which from a muddy garden is a no. …. But with the bi fold doors, I would then be ok with blocking up my side window as per Jonathan's initial comment. Yes, moving the sink and water supply would be a pain/pricey, but it could be worthwhile seeing as everything is coming out - this is the one time opportunity. Let me have a think! Many thanks for this idea. I am trying to avoid having an extension, but maybe bi-folds could get round this and still provide a fabulous view (plus I think my boyfriend's parents are thinking of getting their bi-folds updated!!!).
