Has anyone had blinds made to measure?

A friend has decided to get blinds for bedroom windows. One window is tall and narrow (almost floor to ceiling) and the other is almost semi-circular with the arch at the bottom.
The blinds ideally need to sit inside the window recesses and be blackout blinds. The windows are metal framed.
Which sort of blinds would be best and how much would they cost if bespoke?
The room is newly painted white, with a dark leather headboard and walnut effect cabinet. The wardrobe will have mirror doors. The carpet is likely to be a neutral colour such as oatmeal, and the light fittings are brown. Any suggestions for the colour of the blinds? My friend is male and does not like floral patterns or curtains. A geometric or self-pattern might be ok.

Perhaps plissé shades are an option. I know that Luxaflex makes them for semi-circular windows. I'm pretty sure they have a blackout version too.

The blinds could sit outside the window recesses if necessary, but the window frames reach the ceiling. The windows are very unusual, so I would be good to keep the shape visible at least some of the time.

Ignore the contents of the room. The room is pretty much empty but has a different lightshade, no 'wall art' and no blind.

Lois - I chose a 600W after reading reviews on Amazon etc. The feeling I got was that there wasn't much to gain from the higher rating but people seemed to find it noisier. Presumably there is a reason why they added the 900W version (apart from having a 'premium' product?). I have not felt that the 600W struggles with anything for me, but would be interested to hear other people's view.

Hi bebelou. Have you purchased the bifold doors already? Centor Integrated Doors have the shades (blinds) built into the door frame rather then the panel. They retract completely out of sight when not in use, giving you clear views out to your garden.

For great value I would use blinds 2 go. You measure your own, put in the details and about a week later blinds delivered and they fit perfectly - I find it worth the extra £10-20 than messing with cutting. I have black out rollers from them and will be getting Roman blinds at a later date. I think the only option for the round window (without expensive bespoke) is to get a small blind outside of recess - prob roller to maximise light in

I've used various companies for Roman blinds, including blinds2go and found Roman blinds direct produced a better quality product. Not displeased in anyway with blinds2go though :-)
However, for these windows, I'd go with shutters.

Thanks for the comments. I am glad I asked now. Ideally my friend would like someone to fit them too. Can you get shutters that are blackout?

They aren't completely black out, but you can hide a black out roller blind behind and can easily trim the bottom to fit the curve.

I recently purchased blinds from Blinds2Go and they're great, look very smart and a good price if you're on a budget (look more expensive than they are!)
