need a feature wall behind
Comments (6)Beautiful room you have but if I were to choose a feature wall of any sort I would definitely play it safe and maybe go with a soft pattern the goes with your bed. Maybe light grey, baby blue or leaves, here’s some images which kinda visualise what I mean. :-) If it was gonna be leaves I would recommend more bluish then green unlike the photo below....See MoreWhere to finish wallpaper on a wall with external corner
Comments (10)Sorry , I can't quite picture the layout and what or where you want to paper. Generally finishing on an external corner leaves the edge of the paper visible, unless the corner is perfect it will look odd and the edge of the paper can be easily damaged. Perhaps you could put a wood corner bead to hand the paper up to, although that in itself may look odd....See MoreWhat colour combination feature. wallpaper would look nice?
Comments (12)Hi P108 P What we know is that she is a teenager, and doesn't like pinks, but she likes greens and blues. Consider painting ceiling and walls in different colour than white - consult with her. Re feature wall - we spoke with our friends from Feature Wall Experts and they suggested this: https://www.designerwallpapers.co.uk/osborne-little/enchanted-gardens/rain-forest.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9dCC9MnT4wIVibbtCh2OsgYmEAQYBCABEgJIOvD_BwE#green-wallpaper-tint-7 And said "The feature wall must be her favourite so it's really her room and her wall. What she loves, desires, dreams; fantasy, friends, travel, nature, education, etc. This piece of the room could inspire her, maybe calm her down, help focus." As you can see it all depends what you want to achieve. Home sweet home...doesn't that relate to the big picture? How much time she spends in her bedroom? Think about those too. Paintforme...See MoreBedroom - curtains with this feature wallpaper
Comments (9)Thank you Sonia and Rachel! Sonia, those pictures are really helpful. I love the idea of velvet for the curtains, it makes a plain colour a bit more interesting. Thank you! Rachel, yes we wanted something really bold on one wall. It's quite a small area because we have a fairly low picture rail, and the bed will cover some of it. We're having two white floor-to-ceiling fitted wardrobes opposite, either side of a chimney breast, and we'll paint the walls a soft colour to match a shade in the paper. It's just this big bay window I'm not sure about - basically one whole wall is window and curtains (it's a typical master bedroom in a 1930s 3 bed semi). Plain seems boring but pattern will be difficult with the wallpaper......See MoreJudith Evans
