You're doing up your rooms and decide to get some new door handles to finish off your fabulous new look. Where do you go to get your new door handles?

I've got quite a lot of furniture second hand, including both dressers (although the top half of one has been repurposed as a tall table/stand of sorts), a bed, mirrors, tables, a conservatory three piece bamboo suite (£50) and ikea bar stools. Also inherited a tall pine chest of drawers and one half of the bunk bed I slept in as a child. My parents are always telling me to let it go but I don't see why I should- I have a lot of memories associated with it and an idea to turn it into a mezzanine style bed to free up floor space in a small bedroom.

I've loved reading this thread. Interesting where views differ and you can sense the strength of feeling and conviction in an answer!! I'd like to throw a curve ball in an ask about where to locate the handle in a 1930 4-panel door (image attached). I realise it's an old thread but looks like people have kept it going over several years!! I'm torn. I think it would look better on the middle horizontal but it could be very high - 1130 or even 1190 from the floor depending on which manufacturer provides the door (I know it won't comply with building regs but that doesn't concern me). I also want thumb turn locks on the bathroom door so need to allow room for that and therefore that door probably dictates the rest. I'd love your views!

Oh no :-/ .... it will be so worth it once you have got it through the window though, it is gorgeous! I'll take a look at the website now - thanks..... if it's any consolation I once bought a sofa that just would not fit into the house. We got it in in the end but it involved getting a very talented upholsterer to take a saw (I felt sick) to my brand new sofa and then re-build it as good as new in the room...phew :-)

Ellie, if you look on Moores Kitchens website, I believe (and don't quote me) that the Homebase 'made for you kitchen' range, is actually a Moores Kitchens. in the Definitive range, called Kensington. http://www.moores.co.uk/definitive/the-ranges/ I don't know what the price difference is, or whether Moores are more local to you than Homebase maybe, so just thought I would mention it.
