Comments (5)I'd say, they're probably going to be too big and heavy. There' s always an outside chance that with four out of the five hinges it would be sufficient, it's better than 2 out of 3 if you see where i'm going. However, I think you'd have to assemble it and see if four hinges will work. Which i'm guessing you don't want to do as you'd waste the price of the doors if it doesn't. I disagree that with Daisy that four out of the five isn't enough to adjust them to being in line. I'd just be more worried about the bottom not having enough support. The safer option is to pull the drawers forward as suggested and go for the shorter doors above. At least that way, they are fitted correctly....See MoreLarder unit versus oven tower
Comments (5)If you are putting the oven below worktop level, a set of telescopic runners for the oven would make it easier to get things in and out, they are an optional extra/accessory available from the oven manufacturers, some ovens even have them as standard. Comments (2)Not entirely sure what you’re after - is this just for food storage, or extra storage for dishes etc. some of which you could display? What’s your style? There is the pull out larders like Carolina has suggested, and bespoke breakfast units. There are also freestanding larder cupboards like this. John Lewis, M&S and Laura Ashley all sell them, plus there are loads of smaller companies who can make them to your design in colour of your choosing....See More

Love panties, I spend half my life re structuring buildings / rooms to get a pantry in for my clients.
I think with current shopping habits a lot of people are buying in bulk and standard kitchen storage does not always work for these large items.
You have to be careful with the position to ensure you have good access to it. The usual working triangle conundrum, Local food storage, fridge storage, crockery storage and bulk storage all competing for a central location.
Interestingly I am seeing a come back for crockery pantries as well. Taking all the large pans, best crockery and glasses out of the main kitchen area frees up a lot of space, I'm obviously referring to those occasionally used items, the wok you use once a month, the best crockery brought out at christmas, that set of glasses a friend bought you that you never use but can't bring yourself to throw away.... etc...
In short, a pantry is a must in a modern kitchen but difficulty to plan in properly.
On a final note, I do a lot of pantries for building developers, it can in its least form make the difference on a potential sale in its best form it can add value..
If I can't fit a pantry room in I usually try to get a doubled tall unit in, like a large wardrobe for want of a better description.
