AnaisAnais the curtains were already there when we did the job in this apartement so we can´t tell you for sure where to find them. But I know that JAB makes this kind of curtains and have solutions for basically all kind of windows. Have a look at their webbsite to find a dealer, www.jab.de.

IKEA is great for anyone starting out, furnishing a rental property or just not sure what they want. It may not be the best "last for ever" quality, but it does the job, looks reasonable and can be mixed with other pieces over time. It tends to be good quality for the money. Tastes change over time and while my parents invested as much as they could in the furniture they bought, as they wanted it to last a lifetime, I prefer to think I will be able to change and update easily in the future. I spent a fortune on some furniture a few years ago, that I would love to replace now. We didn´t have a nearby IKEA at the time unfortunately.

Hi, I personally wouldn't go for any type of blind and especially not white, the whole room is that colour and it's going to look really cold. Shutters are fabulous, other people have mentioned these, but the custom made shape is going to cost! However, i think the cheapest and most sumptuous option is the curtains on two cafe rods covering the whole gable. If you are after a cheap way of doing these, you'd be surprised at who you can find on Facebook in your local area! After all, we are only talking about the material and thermal backing for one long window. They don't need header tapes, just a small pocket for a cafe rod on each side. So they are basic in their sewing requirements.

It's a bow window not a bay window. Only saying in case you ring up blind companies with a view to explaining what you want for your window. A bay window you can walk into, a bow you can't is one of the easiest ways to remember the difference. I have a bay window and a radiator in it but I also have another radiator in the lounge. I also have full length curtains which cover the radiator in the bay window. Like you I prefer full length curtains. Can't say I've noticed a drastic coldness in the winter but then again we have the other radiator to counter this. Could you also also add another radiator if you can't move that one?
