need help to design and decoration in the playing room

i plan to transform this room into the playing room with the 12 feetx9feet and the wall height is 11 feet. i also prefer a deck to put a single bed i have one.please obey the messy things.i also like to see and plan to have a minimal extreme activity that fit enough in this room.

Hi there, I'd add an L shaped sofa on the right hand wall of the lounge area. This will allow for either a wall mounted TV or a TV unit on the wall adjacent to the stairs. Putting furniture in the opening on the right will close this room off and make it seem smaller. You want to use the whole 18ft to make sure that it feels like a large open room. I'd then put a sideboard with a mirror above it and possibly some lamps on the right hand wall. You can use the sideboard to store your little one's toys. Also consider an ottoman with storage too in front of the sofa. I always try to squirrel as much storage as I can without taking up additional valuable space. Your feature wall could then be on the right hand wall with some artwork on it. Think about practical materials. A soft leather sofa works well because it's very forgiving with sticky hands. You want the space to look great, but it has to work for your young family. Hope that helps.

Thank you yes, it is the room! I bought a tester pot of the F&B Strong White, but when tested it looked cream. I also bought the F&B Anthrocite which was a bit darker. Will try the Bone White also. Love the cushions in the pic - navy with the piping. Would also maybe like to go a bit darker on the back wall as in the pic but wondered if this might be too cold in a north facing room. I know that when the colours dry they appear darker and also in a larger space than just a test area, so may well try something along the lines of the Anthrocite.

yes I like the jungle idea possibly, though not sure if should keep with ivy as it matches whats currently there.. , not sure about the shelves or seating by the TV though. In the room next door there is an an 8 seater table, and a kitchen island, so its not as though this is the only place to have seating I guess. I like the ideas of natural look, almost Japanese, bamboo, bringing the garden in, just having difficulty with which wall colours, what to do with the post? keep white or make a colourful feature of it, and also what colour sofa bed, rug, paint on the walls to make everything blend in. It's so difficult, can't go for a lightish sofa, as it would just get too dirty, but I'm open to all ideas and very very much appreciate both yours and Rukmini's I have no idea how to put a room pic together like that so it helps massively. They have a lot of friends round, so a comfy rug /beanbags are also great, as long as we can also put them somewhere away too, so they're not in the way

Have a think about what the children like doing - you'll know what equipment you need to accommodate (a crafts table, a stage, perhaps a climbing wall?). Children can be very creative - have a little brainstorming session. I'd also include a lot a accessible storage. The ceiling height is fantastic so you could accommodate some sort of a structure with a ladder. Here's an example of a structure and storage.
