Whether you are trying to resolve a particular problem or trying to think of new ideas for your specific field, have you ever wondered where your 'lightbulb moments' come from? Or when you are most creative?

Ideas come to me in the shower or bath.

Ideas come to me when driving.

Ideas come to me when exercising (gym, swimming, running, etc)

Ideas come to me during garden activities (mowing, digging, planting, weeding, etc)

Ideas come to me when listening to music.

Ideas come to me in my dreams.

Yes, it's interesting how music can either still the mind or send it racing in all sorts of directions.

Mylands. You always regret your economies. I've repainted this kitchen 4X over the years, and last time was in Dulux which wore so poorly. Just custom mixed a new vibrant duck egg to paint my kitchen in marble matt walls, eggshell woodwork, and floor paint. Mylands matched impeccably. It was a dream of coverage, and looks spectacular. The quality of the pigment shows, looks the money, nothing like synthetic mediocre pigments in cheaper paint. It's a big improvement.

@Jonathan I don't dislike it either. Agree that additions of various things would make it more appealing and a heater would certainly make it nice and cozy. The side fencing will also be changed soon which will smarten it up. It's just a case of our needs at the moment with the little ones. Definitely agree with the path also. I'm not keen on where it is at the moment. Just have to decide on the shape.

Creative ideas sought for fixing curtain rail/pole

The wardrobes will be free standing Chloe or that might be a solution. My husband is designing them and will build them himself. The challenge with the curtain rail is that the ceiling immediately above the window frame slopes upwards. It's the eaves across the front of the house. It's only a short slope, maybe 20-30cm until full room height but it impacts options for a curtain rail fixing. In the equivalent room downstairs the rail is fitted to the ceiling which works perfectly, but I don't think it would work properly if fixed on a slant. We'll get there in the end! Thanks for all the suggestions.

I selected 'when gardening' but I rarely garden, it was just the closest to 'when doing chores'. I'm a big daydreamer and my mind wanders to creative spaces when I'm doing ''mindless" things like cleaning the toilet etc.

Hi Lisa, it's so true. When you make your mind as still as possible (by doing an activity that doesn't really need conscious thought) your creative mind kicks in bigtime.
