HELP!!! Kitchen extension - what colour floor tiles??
Comments (25)Hi Jemma, I agree with option 1 from your choices, would definitely work:-) but just to throw a cat in amongst the pigeons... Have you considered rubber flooring at all? Some excellent options available now, clean lines, you can choose to have it look like what it is, or mimic tiles or timber. Gives the best of both worlds as looks good & much softer under foot - just a thought :-)...See MoreKitchen cabinet colour - Howdens Stone
Comments (16)Thanks for this. Our kitchen has just been ordered so I am too late but I love their new colours!! I actually changed from what I had posted here, I've gone for burford white with the titanium granite worktop but worktop has leathered rather than polished finish and natural oak (engineered) floor. Going to go for a sort of industrial glam look I think. The build has been delayed a few times but looking at July completion now. Fingers crossed!...See MoreHowden's Kitchen Dilemma
Comments (13)This is my kitchen so gives you an idea of real world application as opposed to showroom. I've just snapped it so the LED lights give the phones camera a slightly off tone colour but you get the idea. Excuse the scruffy nature but its nearly 11pm and I'm not cleaning it :) We have the stone colouring and the light oak effect worktop. I mentioned to someone the other day about this, and if you go for it, make sure you get the square edge version rather than the bull nose as it looks a little more authentic. The flooring is 12mm Kronotex Phalsbourg Oak and has the small groove on the board edges to make it pass for engineered wood. It was all laid on self-adhesive sound deadening sheets which tie it all together and eliminate the "click-clack" you usually get with laminate floors. Being 12mm thick its pretty substantial and this also helps with sound control. The lights are the Halers H2 Pro - warm white (3000k) which are what you'll want, the higher temp ones look very artificial....See MoreHowden's Burford Stone/Cashmere
