Hello ummimez2, That is such a lovely floor! Black and white floors are a classic. For this space we consider you can't go wrong with keeping it white and black: or you can add some other neutrals to make it a little bit softer: or if you want to go bold and make a statement, teal is a great colour to match. I think it depends on your activity in that room and how much time and resources you can dedicate to maintainance . I've always wanted white floors but only in my fantasy. Any little dirt will be obvious and would need to be cleaned regularly. This is okay if you can afford it i.e having a cleaner. However, if you have kids I would think thrice! I think light grey is a nice cheat to have light floors but less work than white. Grey can work with the same colours as white which is fabulous. Light coloured floors are luxurious and I love them!

Fab new kitchen! I think I would stick with the Achromatic scheme rather than bringing in warm neutrals like creams or browns. Although they can work sometimes it is much harder and complicated to get right. I would go for glazed doors and they look fab, let light in and will work with that scheme and design. Chrome handles will tie in with the kitchen door furniture too. For the doors themselves I would go either black and all walls and woodwork white or the doors and woodwork white and a subtle grey on the walls for a little contrast. I would do one of the walls in the kitchen in a chalkboard paint which will really work well with the design and add further impact to the space. We have a white carpet up the stairs and all throughout the upstairs of our house (bar the bathrooms) and it's a challenge, just with 5 cats. So I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has anything like a normal family home and I would imagine the same pretty well applies to most flooring, it will all require a lot of upkeep, maintaining the look.
