What's the most important thing a kitchen should have?
Comments (60)Work top space, lots of storage and soft close hinges.......... oh, and one of these....its basically a cool tool that allows you to erm...... take the corn off the cob!!! its really handy, i used to do it manually, piece by piece........See MorePOLL: What will be the kitchen trends in 2016?
Comments (42)Having enough storage makes a huge difference to a kitchen - we had ours redone in 2015 & we decided on a lot of storage, with the cupboards scribed to the ceiling (no my dust at the top of the units) as well as useable long counter tops that are practical for preparing & cooking. We also opted to have a microwave built in because it frees up the counter in the adjoining utility. http://deeatthecarlton.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/the-kitchen-is-beautiful.html Kitchens have to be practical because it is a space which is generally used a lot in most homes ......See MorePOLL: What do you prioritise when buying furniture?
Comments (21)We are in the market of selling luxury furniture, so would recommend quality and style above all. If you can afford luxury new items thats all very well, they are beautifully made and offer gorgeous styles that can stand the test of time. However, we also understand not everyone has the budget to be able to do so. If your budget is lower, be savvy and buy traditional or contemporary pieces at auction. Use your imagination and buy quality second hand furniture and accessories that are design classics for a fraction of the price. Use interior design techniques that feature colour and textures to bring out the best in your choices. You can then incorporate inexpensive items as long as they are interestingly designed. Inexpensive ....and dull...is definitely not an option....See MorePOLL: How many times do you wake up in the night?
Comments (25)Ha Ha Tani re the Mattress...................I've had a bad back for years, along with awful shoulders and a crappy neck, so has Mrs Math ( too much manual labour when we were younger ). We had an Eve mattress which Mrs Math ( Nicky ) loved. I like a bit of a moan being a chap, so whined a small amount over several years about it and other things, so we finally got rid of it. I wanted a nice firm, but plush mattress, so we bought a very expensive Sealy Posturepedic mattress believing that it would be the answer to all my problems. WRONG. I am now in more pain than ever and Mrs Math went and bought a mattress topper for her half as she hates it so much. So now she can look down on me whilst i'm in pain, a double bummer. She wants the Eve mattress back and it was less than half the price....See MoreAndersons of Inverurie
