Bedroom colour dilemma
I've just bought this bed for our new bedroom but i'm now stuck on what colour to paint the walls? also what accent colour would go with it?

Comments (5)Yes of course, with us it's actually pretty simple because we sell the bed as a whole, so you have the headboard and base. The base can either be a bedstead (with wooden feet) or a divan base that can come with drawers. A Kingsize upholstered bedstead costs around £600 but the price will depend a little on what bed design you go for. Comments (58)your welcome from my experience you are always starting again with homes as styles and you change so you will have a head start. I'm always changing things with paint and reinventing rooms but over the years found that the classics especially if originals like yours will always stand the test of time and never go out of style but they dont have to look dated mix it up. if you tire of the carpet which I love think about making it into a huge rug bounded around the edge with what ever colour adorns your walls then would look stunning on a wood floor same with the sink could always be used in another room I would team it with black or even faux marble back drop oh endless fun and NOT AVAILABLE on the high street enjoy your home always...See MoreWhat colour for bedroom’s chimney breast?

Comments (3)They are probably the least offensive built in wardrobes I have seen! Most ones from that era really date but yours are quite restrained and pleasant. If the floors are the same, an eggshell beige for the walls teamed with white linen and varying greys for curtains and pillows would give a very peaceful feel, which would compliment the lovely shape of your bed. Sample pots are great for testing different colours and seeing the bigger picture and will also give you a clearer indication of what your room will look like at different points of the day. 7 years agoHello, I'm surprised by the yellow comments as I'm not convinced this is the right colour for a bedroom. You want something calming and relaxing. I agree with the grey on grey look either with monochrome accessories for that Nordic look or a warm accent colour like a deep burgundy, ochre or mauve. Just be careful not to go too bright. If you think all grey is too much take a look at Farrow & Ball Peignoir which is pink with a heavy dose of grey and has a really sophisticated warm feel to it. I painted a customers bedroom this colour and she has a grey carpet and bed and we've added accessories in dusky pink, grey and white. Amelia

7 years agoAmelia, I should have clarified - I would use yellow as an accent. It works beautifully as an accent with white and grey. I put together a scheme that included white, grey and yellow a few years ago, that made use of a Toile de jouy wallpaper and small punctuations of yellow. The client loved it! :)
