Comments (629)Hi Andrea Brooks We can totally understand your dilemma - ‘Magnolia’ is certainly not for everyone! Different colours can evoke different moods and feelings, so don’t limit yourself to one colour throughout your whole house. Dark moody tones work brilliantly in bedrooms, and have been proven to help induce better sleep. Our favourite at the moment is Dulux’s Denim Drift. Bright, fresh colours are great for kitchens, and for creating a lively happy atmosphere. I love Dulux Coral Canyon which is really uplifting. Finally, dusted blues and greens have amazing calming qualities, and are fantastic for any rooms you want to relax and unwind in. Dulux Dusted Moss is a beautiful, versatile colour that will suit most styles of property, either traditional or modern. If you are cautious about using colour, why not introduce it slowly through your accessories, or as a feature wall, as these can be easily updated and replaced. Good luck and we would love to see the results. Hannah Dulux Amazing Space www.designer.duluxamazingspace.co.uk...See MoreNorth Facing lounge can anyone recommend a grey-blue paint?
Comments (6)Hi. I've just had a nosy through your ideabook and activity :) as the room is north facing I'd go for an inky blue/grey rather than the cool mid tone blues and greys as they would just make the room feel really cold. I've also spotted your post re elephants breath and skimming stone. I would get testers of these, they can work work extremely well in a north facing room but may not in others so try them in different lights. Elephants breath particularly is a great "colour". You could then use warm blues as an accent colour...See MoreAdding colour to a white kitchen - blue window frames or ceilings?
Comments (9)Hi Anthony, Thank you for your helpful reply! The Denim Drift room is lovely in the picture and I love the contrast with the white. I'm thinking of getting this Flos pendant light in Chrome: https://clippings.com/products/ic-pendant-light-169721?variation=185491 The kitchen ceilings are not that high and are divided over two levels so the ceiling lights we've looked at are often blocked by the ledge next to the light fixture. I think longer pendant lights may be too low and we don't really have any surface space for them to hover over so the sideways design of this light seems to work. We do have small built inceiling lights and cupboard lights in addition but they don't give us enough light. In the Denim Drift, would you recommend the colour in your picture or a lighter shade? I understand that they can mix it in a few shades. Bekka...See MorePaint wall colour to go with gloss grey units
Comments (5)Hi, Kitchen looks awesome. I like to go for f&b cornforth white, really is a subtle colour which allows the kitchen to really stand out. But it’s enough of a colour to add some interest and not just white. The blues looks nice but personally I find them all quite cold looking....See MoreRohan Shah
