often there is a legacy effect of a structure like a conservatory and people tend to build out in the same place- It would be good to know how much room is at the side because you could knock the kitchen and utility together then build a new utility on the side. If you could post the whole house plan and a picture of the back I am sure that people will have ideas. As far as photo inspiration goes there are literally thousands of images on this site. Look at the photos and save the ones you like.

You can't have the dining table and the kitchen adjacent to each other as 5 metres is not wide enough. Hence why I moved the plan around and the positions of things to give you more space. I don't like blocking the flow front to back by putting the Utility on the right immediately. Gaining more length will also help my type of layout as i mentioned earlier. I think you have to compromise on the snug or the utility / downstairs loo area, as the house isn't wide enough for both. Since you already have a lounge and a utility / downstairs loo will add more value, i'd go for the latter. I'd go for this type of layout at 5m extended . No snug..........you don't really need it. If you want all of the above accommodated, then you'd have to go out to around 7m. You may also find difficulty with the plumbing, so, even though I put the option of the utility and toilet on the left in my previous render, i'm not sure it would work. ( it's possible ). You would end up with something like this, but also bear in mind, that due to the depth of the extension you will need a sky lantern in the roof on the left as the snug would be dark without one.
