Hi, Can you please tell me what type of wood did you use for this kitchen and what the name of the stain is? It's beautiful. Thank you!!

Thank you for your interest! The wood used for this kitchen was Maple with a medium brown stain and glaze that was custom mixed for the client.

A lot of our clients feel that white is a 'safer' and cleaner option in comparison to other colours. We do encourage that you add some soft colour into your space as sometimes a fully white kitchen can look to clinical or sparse.

Hi Tile without UFH is very cold. You mention not wanting vinyl, but I'm assuming you mean vinyl on a roll (a bit like lino) and so I'd propose Luxury Vinyl Tiles. It is highly durable, often compared to the flooring laid at supermarkets which has high amounts of traffic. It is warmer to the touch than other alternatives such as laminate or tiles and resistant to water. They often come in stone effect or wood effect- and come as tongue and groove planks. You could also consider engineered wood but it needs alot of care.

My initial reaction to the photos was that the kitchen units' colour somehow didn't quite 'gel' in the room and I was rather hoping colourhappy would come in and be able to cast her professional eye over it. I still really like the granite and I agree that at least changing the lower units will work. Perhaps the upper units need changing too? J Pleass, would you consider doing that?

I also recommend finding a local joiner. However - there are also a couple of options that might fit the bill. Harvey Jones do a range called Linear. (Probably v expensive too - but you never know!). https://www.harveyjones.com/our-kitchens/linear-kitchens Naked Kitchen do the in-frame slab. https://www.nakedkitchens.com/kitchens/in-frame. Naked Kitchens also do replacement doors to overhaul existing units that I was tempted by a few years ago - until I found a local joiner 😂. This one is in Stamford - but they do a supply only option that might be a possibility (looks to be a good price too) https://www.thestamfordkitchencompany.co.uk/ranges/smooth-oak-in-frame-slab/ No idea on price with this one - but looks lovely https://www.elgarkitchens.co.uk/2019/10/01/1909-slab/. The make of kitchen “1909” seems to be fairly widely available too.
