Need wardrobe ideas to go with this bed

So my bed is on order - cherry wood in a slightly glossy finish with silver stud work. However, I cant find any descent solid wood wardrobes to go with it? The bed is from Ralph Lauren and being an American company, they don't make wardrobes. I don't want to get fitted wardrobes but something similar to this would be great, or can anyone suggest a compromise? Like a different colour wardrobe with a similar finish that would match this? Thanks.

It's a bit of a tricky one as it's a very traditional look. You could try to match the colour of the wood and the style but it'd be pretty tricky. I think you might be able to get away with some really dark wood wardrobes but I any lighter or medium wood would prolly look mismatched. Alternatively, you could get wardrobes made up - like in the picture - only have them painted another colour to match your scheme - e.g. Blue would work with the bedding in your pic.

That's a very striking piece to try to match, and a lot will depend on the layout of your room, and where the other furniture is in comparison to your bed.

Cherry wood wardrobes available from basic elegance furnishings http://www.basicelegancefurnishings.co.uk/treviso-ornate-cherry-wood-corner-wardrobe-with-mirrors-p-12116.html. Also traditional. Perhaps they could send a small sample of the wood.

A Glasgow firm https://www.robinsonsbeds.co.uk/item/DallAgnese-Sorrento-wardrobe_111_1_00.html do a nice traditional walnut one, or quirky modern ones like 'Shape' or 'Step' which may offer a contrast. All are Italian design and quite pricey.

Feather and black Provence range, mahogany veneer, is nice but may not be the right shade. At least you might be able to see a sample in store.

I love jprzym's mirrored wardrobes above, very classy.

Great work so far. I love the colour of the blue on the wall, the painting, and the chest of drawers. Are any of these pictures appealing? I'm thinking a bit of yellow would be nice to add or you can just add varying shades and textures of neutrals in the bedding, throws, and curtains or blinds. I've also included a couple with bronze as previously suggested.

Hello Leesh, It sounds like you rather like the idea of an en-suite and so I would perhaps suggest you go with it, rather than do one thing and then re-do it later. You mention the house has one single loo.. So would this mean presumably that you would also then situate a loo downstairs? If so perhaps you might consider turning the loo into a small wet room style shower room.. A wall hung loo and small sink would give you enough room for a small shower room fully tanked of course as they are lovely. If there is a bathroom with bath for example elsewhere on the upper levels then it could be one way of dealing with this smaller space.. Alternatively you may prefer to have a walk in closet.. Mind you.. If the bedroom is large enough you may be able to incorporate a walk in closet in the room itself.. I'm elaborating on your initial dilemma, but it may help you to decide just what you need and where exactly.. : ))

If you check out the F&B website, they include colour schemes for all their colours. They have one that includes Inchyra Blue and Pavilion grey - the third colour is Manor House grey. Seems like that would tone well.

That is tricky what if you were to panel the chimney breast to match/complement the wardrobes so essentially extend the chimney breast with panelling so the hanging space on the lefthand side of the right alcove wouldn't have a door (if you get what i mean!)
