We have an extension with kitchen/dining/living room. The grey shaker style kitchen is on one side and the living room/snug is on the opposite side.
I'm struggling with the snug area and the TV wall specifically. Should I put pictures on the TV wall or leave blank? And if so how many i.e. The shallow shelves from IKEA with lots of pictures stacked or just a cluster of say 3 each side. Alternatively I could paint the wall grey to match the kitchen on the opposite side to pull it together?
Any thoughts welcome!

7 years agoMaybe if you are thinking of a bespoke unit something like the photo attached, working around where you have already placed the tv this will give you space for displaying some pictures all the electronics in order and maybe paint the wall a different colour for a feature.

Comments (9)Hi. I'd probably move the tv off the wall a similar as it looks too high for viewing comfort and the cables need chasing. A log storage similar to this might look nice? If you keep the tv there then adding a mantle will deflect a certain amount of the heat. Check your TVs operating instructions though and check the temperature of the fire...See More

7 years agoI think it would look better if you put in a large unit with shelves and display space. You could have it built bespoke but it's also very easy to put a nice thing from the components available in ikea. Below are some examples. If you want it quite light, fresh and uncluttered, I'd limit any books or files and focus more on the display aspect.
