are the small fixtures above the shower heads lights? Waterproof?

Looking for waterproof lights for our master bath reno. These look like a good possibility. If these are moisture/waterproof lights, where can we find them? Thank you.

We weren't responsible for the lighting supply, but I think they were exterior grade lights sourced here in the UK.

Hi @hypehomes, What's your budget like? Depending on that, I'd definitely go for some new flooring and some good paint for the space. I don't know what the light in the bathroom is like but I'd be more inclined to go for lighter rather than dark colours. Some soft furnishings would look great too - a little stool with some soft towels on, a hanging planter by the window could really liven things up! Just a thought, hope that helps :)

Hi, We have a UPVC window in our shower area with tile going right up to the plastic frame. I think having a window in the shower is nice but suggest the bathroom fitter/tiler would remove the wooden frame then tile right up to the UPVC. On the small ledge/shelf that will be created its worth remembering it should be at a slightly tilted forward angle to allow water to drain. It also looks neat to use stone such as marble to frame up and box a window as you then don't get mouldy grout lines as you would with tiles. I wouldn't recommend trying to keep a wooden surround, even painted it'll inevitably expand/contract with the humidity so can cause problems down the line with the surrounding tiles. ^ an example of using stone to 'box' in an aperture.

Hi Sarah, As you can see a square shower tray is going to work to much better than a rectangle shower tray. It is going to allow you much more space and open up the room. I would suggest keeping the base of the room light (tiles and paint), and then go ahead and incorporate darker shades. On the wall, where the sink sits, add a large mirror to enhance the space in the room, this is a simple and easy way to trick the eye into thinking a room is bigger than it is. A wall hung toilet and skin cabinet is going to increase the floor space of the room. From a decorative side of things I would recommend black framed glass around the shower, this is a substile dark colour introduction without over doing it, and the glass will still keep the room open. My first thought when looking at this plan is do you really need that huge 5 seater breakfast bar? It’s nice to have the food preparation space but I doubt you’d ever seat more than three people at it at a time. Could you make it shorter and then extend out the bathroom/utility space to be in line with the external wall line. I only say this as the dining table on the plan is quite small and suggests seating 6 people max. It’s not clear if this bathroom is for occasional or daily use. If it’s for daily use, I agree that the shower is too small.
