Hi Tacey, The clean white form of the kitchen looks lovely, its a nice room. You definitely need lights above the wall units, this will bounce off the ceiling and into the room. At the risk of being too direct, throw the green paint away, you don't need it.. If you want colour in this room use the glass display cabinet and put some beautiful coloured glass in there. I sometimes put Japanese inspired flower arrangements on the middle of islands to add a modern structure and punch some colour in. The advantage to both of these methods is that you can change the colour scheme when ever you like. One idea that would transform the room: Put an American shutter up on the window. White with wide 80mm slats. Make sure the slat control is concealed, don't let them sell you a shutter with that awful rod down the middle. This will look amazing in this room. If you really fancy being adventurous mirror the window wall around the shutters above the splash back. You will need to make templates and have the mirror cut to those to ensure a perfect fit. Visually the room will double in size as your eye is tricked into seeing the furniture repeated as a reflection. I know it sounds a little "out there" but I have done this on many occasions and it works amazingly well. Hope that helps, Martin - www.angel-martin.com

Thank you for everyone's comments, had no idea this thread would prove so popular when I started it. We are plastering this week and we have finally bought most things for the kitchen. I did find some real 'finds' though if anyone is looking. Not sure where you are based, but regarding electrical goods we researched all our own and narrowed down our list, and once we had that we looked online for the best prices for each appliance. Instead of buying from lots of different places we took it to Bentalls, who not only matched, but also cost us less, and beat some online prices with a good 'deal' price they also then will hold on to them until you need them, but if anything goes wrong you have 'bentalls' rather than several online dealers to return items to. RDO Appliances also do this if there is one near you, but i'd advise you to research prices first. Another thing we found was inserts for the kitchens. Through our kitchen supplier these were expensive, bin inserts, pull out drawers, pull out larders, even the pop up sockets, sourced seperately through ebay and online we managed to save quite a lot of money by doing this, so our fitter will still have the right things on the day, but we are not getting the inserts from the supplier. What else..... erm kitchen worktop, unbelievably the exact same worktop, same material, same cut outs etc.. same sizes differed between suppliers by 3k! so do shop around for your quartz and granite.

The new owners of this open plan apartment are a young family who bought it from a previous owner. A complete renovation and new interior was forthcoming. They are ambitious, hard-working young people who like to have fun and spend their weekends in a relaxing atmosphere. As young people looking for the modern, grey was their desired colour. Living room with modern furniture, open spaces and white accents. This was their dream home interior. We designed a spacious place to relax, of course with a large super comfortable bespoke sofa in Navy Blue fabric. The kitchen is open plan and extremely stylish with built-in appliances, white shaker kitchen doors and white marble countertops. The dining room is the focal point. The elegant pink legs of the table emphasize the female presence in this modern home. The buttoned dining chairs made of natural leather create cosiness and home feeling.
