The doors were manufactured from 22mm moisture resistant MDF, spray finish RAL colour 9010, with natural walnut inserts and string straighteners on the inner side.

I've just designed my own walk in wardrobe after doing them for clients for years. I'm going for the "Carrie from Sex and the City" layout, where you walk through the wardrobe to the ensuite. Unfortunately, my wardrobe will not be stuffed full of designer labels though! NB it is also the pre Mr Big wardrobe, yikes, don't ever think I'd have a house big enough for that one!!!

You could do one of two things:- Either wallpaper the doors in the same paper on the feature wall. Wrap the edges and then give a good coat or two of water based matt varnish, to help protect the paper. Or, place mirrors on the doors to match in with the bedside tables. You need to remove the knobs, fill the holes and paint, re-drill the hole for one knob as presumably you took a long handle off and rather than replace with one handle, you put two in, which looks a little odd!Here's a door and drawers that i wrapped with the owners paper.

I like Jonathon’s first drawing for a couple of reasons. You can have a walk in wardrobe for all the hanging clothes, which can end up looking a bit messy, and have the more traditional type of wardrobe for items that can be boxed up, such as handbags and shoes, and folded clothes / drawer items. I think a walk in wardrobe is better without a window as natural light can fade clothes, so much better to have a bright bathroom with 2 windows. Finally, as you’re building the internal walls from scratch you could look into having a pocket door system into the en suite thereby preventing a swinging door getting in the way of either the wardrobe or the shower.

Hi Minnie There will be drawers in the double wardrobes on the either side of the triple wardrobe. so I don't really need to have them on the outside. I like the idea of the 4 panel mirrored wardrobe doors but I also like the shaker style door aswell see pic. i agree with you I should have the glass inside the panels and have the frame around the door . I'm wondering will I have the same effect if I have the 3 centre doors in the Shaker style with the panel and glass inside?? similar to the 4 panel mirrored doors. thank you
